Where can you go?
All you need is a beach 🙂 We have several excellent beaches on Mersea Island but we would recommend you visit the beach at Cudmore Grove Country Park. It's not far from Mersea Barns, it has lots of parking and some pretty cool playgrounds too!

Don't forget to stop in on your way for take away drinks and snacks to keep you going. Or grab a tasty meal on your way home to recharge your batteries. You can also pick up a copy of the activity sheet in our Shop if you need another one.
Check the tides
Mersea is an Island and when the tide is high it can cover the road onto the island. There are plenty of things to find on a beach even when the tide is high but you can check the tide times at www.stroodcam.co.uk
