Café & Shop

We take the health of all our customers very seriously.  Our café and shop are cleaned and regularly sanitised before, during and after our opening times.   Food preparation is always carried out to a very high hygiene standard as laid out by government policy but we are taking additional steps to ensure that any risk of transmission is minimised.

We ask anybody visiting Mersea Barns to wash their hands on arrival and before they leave.

We have a large outside decking area, garden and fields which we are happy for customers to use, weather permitting, which means you can get lots of fresh air and minimise contact with others.

Events

Events and workshops will go ahead, until the Department of Health states otherwise, however, if the guidelines change and we need to cancel an event, then we will give a full refund. Please note, that if the government has not imposed any restrictions, and the event goes ahead, the cancellation policy noted above will apply, and if you cancel after the two day period or do not attend we not offer a refund.

We ask anybody attending an event to wash their hands before the event starts and at the end before they leave.

Our building is thoroughly cleaned before and after each session.  Surfaces are sanitised regularly.

If you feel unwell or have any symptoms, we respectfully ask that you do not attend an event.
